The Administrative Department includes the City Manager, City Secretary and the office staff.
The City Manager functions as the Chief Administrative and Executive Officer and is responsible for the general administration of the City of Richwood. The City Manager directs and supervises the administration of all departments and offices and is charged with facilitating Council’s directives and strategic objectives.
The City Secretary is responsible for the maintenance and administration of all records, Boards and Commissions, fulfilling requests for public information and oversees the municipal court. The City Secretary is responsible for keeping the official minutes of Council meetings and is responsible for the safekeeping of City ordinances, resolutions and other official documents, and holding the annual elections for members of City Council.
