This department is responsible for maintaining and repairing all public streets and alleys, the erection and maintenance of street signs, mowing of right-of-ways, and maintenance and construction of all drainage ditches.

The Public Works Director provides a variety of direct services which includes plan review, permit issuance, inspections, enforcement of related codes and ordinances and consultations with persons planning any construction within the City.
