Due to imminent freezing weather conditions, Public Works will be discontinuing water service to all city parks beginning on the morning of Sunday, January 14th. Water service to city parks will be turned back on the morning of Wednesday, January 17th. The reinstatement of water service to the parks will be contingent on any damage sustained to water piping during the freeze.
During Winter Storm Uri, several residents suffered broken water pipes within their homes requiring Richwood Public Works to respond to discontinue water service at the meter. If during the freeze residents require assistance to discontinue water service due to broken pipes within their home, you may reach Public Works 24 hours a day by contacting Richwood Dispatch at 979-265-2222 or the Public Works on-call phone at 979-319-2083.
