RE: Road Reconstruction
Greetings,
Beginning July 31st, 2023, Brazoria County Precinct 1 will be on site in the Oakwood Shores Subdivision to begin the second phase of road reconstruction. The roads that will be reconstructed are Bayou Bend from the intersection of Bayou View Ct. to the intersection of Oakwood Shores Dr. and Oakwood Shores Drive from the intersection of Bayou Bend to the intersection of Blue Crab.
During construction residents should anticipate road closures to “Through Traffic” for streets that are being reconstructed. We ask that residents living in areas where road reconstruction is taking place traverse the streets with caution and at a slow rate of speed.
Timelines for the completion of road reconstruction are heavily contingent on weather. Currently it is anticipated that road reconstruction efforts will last between 2 and 3 months. Reconstruction should take place one lane at a time, and we request that residents pay close attention to any signage provided by Brazoria County, especially during the tac oil applications before asphalt is laid.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience road reconstruction causes for residents. Please be patient as Richwood works to improve road infrastructure in the Oakwood Shores Subdivision.
