Building Permit
Please use the Residential Permit or Commercial Permit for new residential construction, new commercial construction, accessory buildings, concrete work, and driveways. All new buildings and modifications to existing buildings shall comply with the latest edition of the International Building Codes.

Mechanical Permit
A Mechanical Permit enables you to install new mechanical equipment such as heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and kitchen hood exhaust systems. All new buildings and modifications to existing buildings shall comply with the latest edition of the International Building Codes regarding mechanical, plumbing, fire and gas.

Electrical Permit
The Electrical Permit can be used for any electrical work to be done at your residence or business. Electrical requirements are subject to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code Handbook. If your electric meter has been pulled:
- Apply for an Electrical Permit
- After the building inspector has approved the work, the City will contact Center Point Energy to release your permit.
- Lastly, you will need to contact your electrical provider to reset your electrical meter.
